Dear Collaborators,
I must bring to your knowledge that AVACO SA has made the safety test for the semi-heavy type barrier, in accordance with the international standard SR EN 1317-1, and following this standard, our road barrier has been classified in the N2 safety category.
In this purpose, 2 testings of the road barriers - TB11 and TB 32 - have been accomplished in accordance with SR EN 1317-1 and 2 standard and with N2 safety category.
TB11 testing was made using a car of 900 kg weight, at 100 km/h speed and an impact angle of 20 degrees, and the TB 32 testing was made using a car of 1500 kg weight, at 110 km/h speed and an impact angle of 20 degrees. The measured values according to SR EN 1317 -1 and 2 standard were rigidity index ASI, THIV, PHD.
The following values must be obtained in order that any road barrier is accepted:
ASI ≤ 1, THIV ≤ 33km/h, PHD ≤ 20g.
Once the testings made, the obtained values were as follows:
For the test TB 11 ASI = 0.72, THIV = 20,4 km/h, PHD = 16,6g
For the test TB 31 ASI = 0,47, THIV = 17,0 km/h, PHD = 10.0g
Being a premiere in Romania, the road barrier produced by AVACO SA and tested in accordance with the international standards helps all road constructors and implicitly all traffic participants, by providing a tested quality and safety.
